Ch. Duchwood's Cornerstone
MS - deceased
(Duchwood's Dillon MS x Duchwood's Willow MS [Ch. pts.]) This is our homebred Corrie, the first piebald dachshund bench champion in the world, all coats, all sizes, despite what others may claim. Her playful antics, and "the Corrie dance", have charmed audiences at dog shows everywhere. Her wonderful front and rear angulation, incredibly long ribbing and keel, and her fabulous movement have won her admirers from all over the world. Despite her flashy red piebald pattern, she is first and foremost, a very correct Dachshund. She won an Award of Merit at the 1998 Dachshund Club of America National Specialty Show, Best of Opposite Sex at the 1999 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show at Madison Square Garden under breeder/judge Mr. Howard Atlee, and 2nd Veteran Bitch at DCA 2002. She and her grandson, Bryce, were Best Smooth Brace at DCA 2002. Her children are now winning in the show ring, too, and she has a dual champion daughter (see Jazz below). She weighs 10.5 lb., is 12 years old, and is retired from the whelping box and our house pet. Corrie's picture can be found in at least 5 popular books on dachshunds published worldwide. Corrie was BAER tested on 7/2/03 by Dr. George Strain, LSU - bilateral hearing perfect. |
Dual CH. Duchwood's
All That Jazz MS - retired
(Duchwood's Outback Orion MS [Ch. pts.] x Ch. Duchwood's Cornerstone MS) Jazz is a clear red, 9 1/2 lb. homebred daughter of Ch. Corrie (see above). She is typey, sound, and a pretty mover. She won the Open Mini (Red) class at the 1999 Dachshund Club of America's National Specialty Show. Jazz has a good nose, too, and finished her field championship to become a dual champion! She carries the piebald gene recessively, but is now retired from the whelping box and living the good life with her dad, Ryan, in a loving pet home in Illinois. |

"milk maid, Heidi, with her "Holstein cow", Princess" - DCA costume parade 2002 | Duchwood's Pixie Princess MS,
JE (Ch. pts., field ch. pts.) - deceased
(Nixons Albomaculatus Nanus x Duchwood's Pebblestone MS, ROMX [field pts.]) Princess (litter sister to Ch. Phoenix - see our Stud Dog page) is a very exuberant black/tan piebald who is a natural at den trials. She earned her Junior Earthdog title at the Dachshund Club of America's National Specialty Show in Wisconsin, April 2002. Along the way, she's picked up a major and some single ch. points as well as some field points. Her exquisite head, neck, and forechest are as near to perfection as one can get. She weighs 10 lb. and truly looks like a standard in miniature. She is now retired from the whelping box and is our house pet. Princess also makes a grand little Holstein dairy cow with her little pink udder, miniature cow bell, and horns! I was the Swiss dairy maid and we won the costume contest at the Dachshund Club of America's National Specialty show in April 2002! We have fun with our dachshunds at Duchwood! |
Dual Ch.
Duchwood's Page Two MS - retired
(Nixons Albomaculatus Nanus x Duchwood's Pebblestone MS, ROMX) Paige is sister to Princess (above) and usually lives with her co-owners, Jan DuBois of Kinder Kennels, and Sandy Golemb of Rosan Hills Kennels, in Wisconsin. She became the first dual champion piebald in breed history on 1/5/03 by winning first place and Absolute at a field trial in MS!!! Paige is now retired and in a loving pet home in Wisconsin. |
|
Dual Ch.
Kinder's Magic Mirror MS - retired
(DCH. Kinder's Klaus von Ludwig MS x FCh. Kinders Lone Magic Memory ME) Mira is an elegant, 11 lb., black and tan girl bred by, and co-owned with, Jan DuBois of Kinder Kennels. She is typey and sound with heavy bone. Her forechest, topline, and rear angulation are outstanding. Mira does not carry the piebald gene. She produced a champion son for us (Ch. Duchwood's Sure Thing MS) and we have her little daughter, Crystal (below), to follow in her footsteps. Mira is now retired from our breeding program and has been placed as a pet. |
|
Kinder's Heavenly Star MS
- retired
(DCh. Kinder's Magic Sorcerer MS x FCh. Duchwood's Starlight MS) Skylar is a little 9 lb., black and tan love like her mom, Star (see below). We co-bred and co-own her, but she lives with her owner, Jan DuBois of Kinder Dachshunds, in Wisconsin. She's heavy-boned, low to the ground, with good ribbing, keel, and topline. She carries the piebald gene recessively. She is retired from the whelping box and remains her co-owner's bed dog. |
|
FCh. Duchwood's Starlight MS,
CGC - deceased
(Duchwood's Dust Bunny MS x Duchwood's Pebblestone MS, ROM [field pts.]) Star, a 10 lb., black and tan piebald, lives with her co-owner, Jan DuBois of Kinder Dachshunds in Wisconsin. She's a quiet little rug-rat in the house and hates the show ring, but becomes a dynamo in the field. She became the first piebald dachshund Field Champion in the world very quickly, and now has several Absolute wins to her credit. Star is very low to the ground, and has a beautiful head, forechest, and front assembly. We have a beautiful son from her - a black/tan piebald, Jedi, sired by Duchwood's Saber Blade MS. Star retired to a loving pet home in Wisconsin. |
|
CH. Duchwood's Nutmeg MS - deceased
(Am./Can./S.Afr. Ch. GrandGables Buffalo Bill x Dual Ch. Duchwood's All That Jazz MS) Meg was the 3rd champion produced by her mom, Jazz. She carried the piebald gene recessively and produced 2 champion sons, 1 champion daugher, and 1 Canadian champion daughter. Unfortunately, she developed epilepsy at age 4 and was removed from our breeding program. |
|
Duchwood's Lindy Star Sapphire
MS - deceased
(Ch. Duchwood's Phoenix MS x Kinder's Heavenly Star MS) Lindy is a 10.75 lb. black and tan piebald who is a fabulous side mover. She has a lovely rear, so-so ribbing and keel, and a nice long upper arm, but could use more shoulder layback, better feet and bone, and more forechest. Because she's a piebald and therefore judged more harshly than her solid-colored counterparts, she has not been competitive in the show ring (a few reserves) but she's a wonderful mother and a good producer. Sons from her first 2 litters already have champion points. BAER tested 7/2/03 by Dr. George Strain, LSU - bilateral hearing perfect. Spayed and placed in a pet home in Virginia. |
|
Ch. Applehil Count Your Blessings
- retired
(Ch. Apple Hill's Benediction x Ch. Apple Hill's Southern Cross) Cybil is a lovely, small, standard girl (17 lb.) who is near to perfection in conformation and temperament. She was born to be a show dog as she loves the breed ring. She had a few BOV wins and a Group pull before I stopped showing her. Her daugther, MayLee out of her first litter out of Bryce (Ch. Duchwood's Red Alert MS) is outstanding and starting to win in the show ring. Cybil was been bred to our Ch. Phoenix to produce standard piebald carriers. She is now in a home in Louisiana. |
|
Ch. Duchwood's
After Dark MS - retired
(Dual Ch. Duchwood's Big Black Wolf MS x Duchwood's Nutmeg MS) Afton is an elegant little 9.0 lb. girl with a fabulous front, long ribbing and keel, perfect topline, and lots of rear angles. She could have heavier bone for her size and more forechest. She finished her championship in May 2003. Afton had a lovely litter of 5 for her first litter, a litter of 4 in her 2nd litter, and a litter of 6 for her 3rd and last litter. Afton is now in a loving pet home in Louisiana. Pedigree |
|
Duchwood's Stepping Stone MS
(ch. pts.) - retired
(Ch. Crisscross' Startin A Riot MS x Ch. Duchwood's Cornerstone MS) Stephie has now matured enough to be shown and no longer holds her tail straight up. She's exquisite, with a near-perfect shoulder assembly, long ribbing and keel, and a nicely angulated rear. She's also very spoiled since she was the only survivor from her litter and was hand-raised. Stephie weighs 8.5 lb. CERF exam 7/25/04 - eyes clear. Sttephie was spayed during a c-section for her last litter. Stephie will remain with us for life. She had back problems (rear end paralysis) in early 2007, was steroid-blasted and crate-rested for 3 months, and has made a full recovery. For more info on back problems in Dachshunds and steroid blasting, click here . |
|
Dual Ch. Duchwood's Beach Babe
MS - retired
(Ch. GrandGables's Blond Beach Boy MS x Duchwood's Pixie Princess MS, JE [ch. pts.]) Erin is very elegant, yet low stationed for her size (9.75 lb), and has gorgeous front and rear angles. Her head and topline are exquisite. She made the first cut in Best of Variety competition at the DCA National Specialty in Syracuse in May 2003. Erin finished her field championship 1/25/04 by taking 4th place in the Hempstead, TX field trial OAAB stake (32 entries). This was only her 4th field trial! She is now a dual champion! This is one serious bunny hunter and is also showing great promise as an earthdog. Erin was going to stay with us but a wonderful home that has one of her daughters wanted her, so she now lives in Texas. |
|
Duchwood's Riverdance MS
- Danni is missing! She got
away from the pet sitter over New Year's 2006 in the Voss Bingle area of
Houston. She is microchipped. She's very friendly and may have
been picked up by some kind person. A reward is being offered by
her owners for any information leading to her recovery, alive or dead.
Please email me at MRUSSEL1@ix.netcom.com if you have any information on
her. She may show up in a shelter/rescue group or some vet's office
some day somewhere in Texas. Danni has a distinctive white stripe
on her chest.
(Duchwood's Welsh Warrior MS x DCH. Duchwood's All That Jazz MS) Danni is a long drink of water! She weighs 11.4 lb. She's got lovely angles front and rear, a soft topline, incredible length of ribbing and keel, and a beautiful head. Her front feet are too flat. She was shown in 2004 but her topline has kept her from winning. She produced gorgeous pups (see Raven in males) but had a tendency to reproduce her flat feet.. Danni was spayed and is in a loving pet home in Texas. |
|
Ch.
Grandgables Justa GoGo Bean MS, NAP, R.N.
- retired
(Can./SAfr. Ch. Garthorne Mr. Bean for GrandGables MS (UK import) x Grandgables Go Go Gabriella MS) GG is a totally adorable and very tiny, clear red girl bred by Grandgables Kennel in Canada. She is low-stationed, heavy-boned for her size (8.0 lb), and an incredible mover. Her little head with short ears is her only drawback. She had a hard time having her first litter of 2 out of Bryce, Ch. Duchwood's Red Alert MS, and had to have a c-section for her 2nd litter of 2 HUGE pups out of Casper, Ch. Duchwood's Cast In Stone. I just do not want females in my breeding program who cannot free-whelp, so GG was spayed and was placed in a loving pet home in Texas where she is doing obedience, rally and agility. |
|
Ch. Duchwood's Morning Light
MS - retired
(FCh. Duchwood's Celtic Courage MS x Ch. Duchwood's Nutmeg MS) Morgen ("morning" in German) is an outstanding black/tan piebald girl who is pictured at 4 years of age. She's a fabulous mover with a wonderful temperament. She's had 3 litters of 6 and produced a Group-winning daughter. Morgen experienced rear end paralysis and back pain in Nov. 2006, was steroid-blasted and crate-rested for 3 months, and has made a full recovery. She will now be field trialed and will stay here for life. |
|
Duchwood's Magic Crystal MS
- retired
(Ch. Duchwood's Red Alert MS x DCh. Kinder's Magic Mirror MS) Crystal is really changing and improving as she gets older. Lovely clear red, fabulous shoulder assembly, perfect topline, nice rear angles, head cute with ears a little too low, ribbing and keel a little short, very leggy but chest is already dropping down with age. She's a great mom and has produced an outstanding champion son, Byron, from her first litter, and 2 nice daughters, Onyx and Magic, from her second litter. Crystal has been spayed and gone to her retirement home in Texas. |
|
CH. Duchwood's Red Flannel Dress
MS - retired
(Ch. Duchwood's Phoenix MS x Duchwood's Stepping Stone MS) Flanna (pronounced "flah - nah") has a great shoulder assembly, perfect topline, OK head, nice rear angles, decent length of ribbing and keel, and is a wonderful mover. She started her show career with back-to-back majors July 1-2,2005 and finished on Dec. 17,2005. Flanna weighs 8.8 lb. *BAER* tested 7/30/05 by Dr. George Strain, LSU - bilateral hearing perfect. Flanna has been spayed and placed in a loving pet home with her brother. |
|
Duchwood's One Crowded Hour
MS - retired
(Duchwood's Basil MS x Duchwood's Panda MS) Glory is a small, muscular, compact girl with a lovely shoulder assembly and nice rear angles. Her eyes are a little large and she holds her ears in a strange manner although they are set on her head correctly. She has excellent length of ribbing and keel but a little too much tuck up in her flank. Her name comes from my favorite Alexander Pope quotation: "One crowded hour of glorious life is worth an age without a name". Glory's first litter out of Bryce is looking nice and she carries the piebald gene recessively. Glory was bred 2 more times and missed both times, so she was spayed and placed in a pet home in Texas. |
|
Duchwood's Little Robin MS (ch.
pts.) - retired
(Ch. Dynadaux Aint Jus Whistlin Dixie MS x Duchwood's Little Pixie MS) Robin has a fabulous shoulder assembly, a good topline, nice rear angles, and good ribbing and keel length. She could have more bone and better feet, and her muzzle and ears are a little short. She tends to trot with her butt up in the air, so it is doubtful if she can finish her championship. She is a piebald carrier. Robin was spayed and is now in a pet home in Pennsylvania. |
Duchwood's Mandatory Jazz MS
- retired
(Ch. Kinder's Dashing Gentleman MS x DCh. Duchwood's All That Jazz MS) Mandy has a wonderful shoulder assembly, a good topline, so-so rear angles, and a pretty head. She has short ribbing and keel and is a little hocky; one hind leg bowed at 8 months of age. Mandy has had 2 litters and has been spayed and placed in a loving pet home in New Jersey. We kept her daughter, Nessa, to replace her. |
|
Duchwood's Necessary Jazz MS
- retired
(Ch. Duchwood's Cast In Stone MS x Duchwood's Mandatory Jazz MS) Nessa is a very tiny girl (6 lb.) with a lovely body, good ribbing and keel length, cute head, nice front and rear angles. Looking a little hocky right now but she will stay here as a show prospect to replace her dam. She has a dynamite personality. Nessa had to have a C-section for her first litter, so I had her spayed. Nessa has gone to a pet home in Louisiana. She had back problems and surgery but has made a full recovery. |
|
Duchwood's May In Milan MS (ch.
pts.) - retired
(Ch. Duchwood's Red Alert MS x Ch. Applehil Count Your Blessings) Maylee is the result of our first "breed-down" cross - a miniature male bred to a small standard female to produce miniatures with that "standard" look. She weighs 12.75 lb. but is just gorgeous, with lovely front and rear angles and a perfect topline. She carries the piebald gene recessively and produces gorgeous pups with her head and front. Maylee experienced back problems at age 5 (06/08), and has been removed from our breeding program. She is fully recovered and has gone to a loving pet home in Virginia. |
|
Duchwood's Lady Ellen MS
(ch. pts.) - sold to Denmark show home
(Can. Ch. Pawprints Grandgables Edition MS x DCh. Duchwood's All That Jazz MS) Ellie is a medium girl (9.75 lb.) with good bone, nice shoulder layback, good topline and gorgeous head. Rear angles are OK but she is a little hocky. Ribbing length is OK but her keel is a little short. She's a lovely mover who has matured nicely. Ellie does not apparently carry the piebald gene. She free-whelps her pups and is a good mother who produces the best points of both sire and dam. She has gone to a show home in Denmark. |
|
Duchwood's Keynote MS - deceased
(Ch. Duchwood's Ynot Another MS x Duchwood's Pixie Princess MS, J.E.) Keyna is a little clone of her mom. Same wonderful angles front and rear, good ribbing and keel length, and good topline; her ears are a little short, eyes a little too round and tail set a little too high. She is a good mover and has lovely tight feet although she could have heavier bone and be lower to the ground. Keyna has produced defective pups in her 2 litters so has been spayed and placed in a loving pet home in Louisiana. Sadly, Keyna died of kidney failure in late 2010. |
|
Field Ch. Duchwood's Mighty
Sprite MS - deceased
(Ch. Duchwood's Cast In Stone MS x Duchwood's Brief Interlude MS) Sprite, 3 oz. at birth, is the sole survivor of her litter, which was born prematurely. She was a tough little nut who was determined to live. She's a tiny but lively little girl with nice front and rear angles and a good topline and she's a lovely mover like her dad. Her head is her weak point with too much stop, and she could not be shown because of it. She produced 4 outstanding pups in her first litter and 6 in her second litter. She was spayed and placed as a pet in a loving pet/performance home in Connecticut where she placed 2nd in the DCA 2009 National Field Trial to finish her field championship! She died unexpectedly at age 10 from unrelenting seizures due to a brain tumor. |
|
Duchwood's Page IV MS - retired
(Ch. Duchwood's Cast In Stone MS x DCh. Duchwood's Page Two MS) Ivy is a tiny girl with a wonderful front assembly and nice rear angles. Her topline is not level when gaiting so she will not be shown. Her daughter, Sloane, out of Aidon, is stunning and incredibly smart. Ivy had a very hard time whelping her last litter, so she was spayed and placed in a pet home in Louisiana. |
|
Duchwood's Pillar Of Stone MS
- deceased
(Ch. Duchwood's Red Alert MS x Duchwood's Rubystone MS) Pillar has a gorgeous shoulder assembly, good topline, and lovely rear angles. Her head is her weak point so she will not be shown. She moves like her dad. She is a tiny girl (7 lb.) but free-whelped 2 litters of 6. She has been placed in a loving retirement home in Texas. Sadly, Pillar died suddenly of an aneurysm at age 6 1/2 yrs. |
|
Duchwood's Touch of Magic MS
- retired
(Ch. Duchwood's A First For Me MS x Duchwood's Magic Crystal MS) "Magic" is a lovely girl with a perfect topline, lovely rear angles, and good ribbing and keel length. Her shoulder assembly is also nice with a beautiful deep forechest. Her feet could be just a little tighter but her head is too small for her body size and just plain ugly. She produces lovely children, however. Magic has gone to a show/breeding home in Alabama on co-ownership (Debi Crowley), but is now spayed and retired after her second litter. |
|
Ch. Duchwood's Secular Sonnet
MS - deceased
(Adminac It's Hardly Done x Duchwood's May In Milan MS) Sonnet is a hair over 11 lb. She is probably the best girl I've ever bred. I can't really say anything bad about her except I wish she had tighter front feet and a slightly better head. She was for sale for the longest time but no one wanted her so I started showing and winning with her. She has gone to a show home in Russia where she has garnered multiple championships in several countries. She had a litter of 3 stunning pups before she left and we kept all three, Tango, Tressie and Timber. Sadly, Sonnet died from complications folowing back surgery at age 4. |
|
DUCHWOOD'S REMEMBER ME MS -
retired
(Ch. Duchwood's Rave Review MS x Duchwood's Mighty Sprite MS) Ember is even smaller than her mom but with more bone and a better head. She has tons of front and rear angles but has a slight dip in her topline when moving. She has turned out to be a fierce little bunny hunter who has already killed her first bunny in a practice field. She had to have a C-section for her first litter, so she has been spayed and placed in a loving pet home in Louisiana. |
|
Duchwood's Dark Beauty MS, RA (ch. pts.) -
retired
(Ch. Duchwood's Pierce Arrow MS x Duchwood's Rubystone MS) Darcy matured around 7.5-8 lb. She has a lovely head; good shoulder layback but her upper arm is a little short; ribbing and keel could be longer but are OK; nice tight feet; very muscular body; good topline; good bite; nice rear angles; lovely mover with reach and drive. She has gone to a show home in Montana on co-ownership (Amanda Hodges) and now has her Rally Advanced title. She has been unable to produce any puppies, so is now retired to concentrate on obedience and agility. Darcy's pedigree |
|
Halls Creek Decking The Halls
- retired
(Ch. Duchwood's Buyonegetonefree MS x Aubarleas Soft Music) Holly is a small standard dachshund at 18 lb. We had hoped to produce a standard-sized piebald out of her, but she produced only solid colored pups in her one and only litter. We kept her daughter, Celine, and her son, Elvis, from this litter. She has been spayed and retired to a wonderful pet home in California. She has experienced back problems but has recovered. |
|
Duchwood Fool's Gold MS - retired
(Ch. Duchwood's Red Alert MS x Ch. Grandgables Justa Go Go Bean MS) Goldie is a medium sized mini girl at about 9.5-10 lb. She is a lovely girl who we never showed because of white mismarks. She produced beautiful puppies for us and is now retired to a loving pet home in Florida. |
|
Can.
Ch. Duchwood's Western Magic MS - retired
(Ch. Duchwood Sounds of Silence MS x Duchwood's Magic Crystal MS) Missie Pie is quite lovely. She has a good topline (her spots make her topline look a little off, but it's not), good tail set, nice front and rear angles, good bone, and a pretty head. Her ribbing and keel length have improved and she is developing a forechest. She has gone to a show home in Montana on co-ownership (Amanda Hodges), and completed her Canadian championship at the tender age of 1 year! For some reason, she was never shown in the U.S. and was never able to have puppies. She is now retired as a pet. |
|
never sent a photo | Duchwood's Lady Of Rivendell
MS - retired
(Ch. Duchwood's Pierce Arrow MS x Duchwood's Rubystone MS) Arwen is Darcy's sister and is co-owned with Lauren Richardson in Florida. She was not shown much and had only one litter. Arwen's pedigree |
Duchwood's KC Upside Downside
MS (ch. pts.)
(Ch. Duchwood's Count Cameron MS x Duchwood's Morning Light MS) Cider is yet another lovely girl (pick pup) from this outstanding litter of 6 girls. She is dark red and hard to fault. She lives in a show home in Missouri with her co-owners, Tom Johnson and Deb McCollar. Unfortunately, Cider had disk problems at age 3.5 years of age (March 2010) and was spayed. |
|
Lisego Nosa Byaki-Buki
(Lisego Nosa Artishok Kuzja x Uelsi) Biaka is our small Russian import from Marina Kovalenko in St. Petersburg. Biaka has a lovely shoulder assembly, long ribbing and keel, and nice rear angles. She is a little hocky, has a slightly unevern topline, and a rather plain head with short ears, but she loves people and isn't afraid of anything. Her value to us was as a producer (she has a champion son, Gable). She was spayed following a C-section and has retired to a pet home in Alabama. |
|
Duchwood's Sophisticated Lady
MS
(Admindac It's Hardly Done x Duchwood's May In Milan MS) Sophie has a level topline when trotting, has good bone, a lovely head, good shoulder layback, tight feet, long ribbing and keel lengths, and lovely rear angles. She could use a slightly longer upper arm. She has gone on a show co-ownership to Sharon Sakson in New Jersey. Unfortunately, Sophie has IVDD (disk disease - March 2010), has had surgery, and recovered to be a pet. |
|
Duchwood's Sylvan Hedonist MS
(ch. pts.)
(Admindac It's Hardly Done MS x Duchwood's May In Milan MS) Sylvie is a lovely light red girl with wonderful angles, a good topline, long ribbing and keel, and a gorgeous head. She's built like her mom but in a slightly smaller package. She floats when she moves but acts silly in the ring (too excited), so she has retired to a loving pet home in Tennessee since we have her daughter, Zipper, to carry on. |
|
Grandgables Claire Of Duchwood
MS
(Amer./Can. Ch. Grandgables Bengal Tiger MS x Duchwood's Morning Light MS) Claire is our very first red brindle. She's a gorgeous girl with lots of angles and a nice topline. Her ribbing and keel could be a little longer, but her head is lovely, she has tight feet, and she just glides when she moves. She also has a show dog attitude and has never met a stranger. We had no luck showing her as she would get too excited in the ring and destroy her topline. Her pups are beautiful, several have gone overseas, and one son is nearly finished here in the U.S. She has gone as a show dog to Finland. |
|
Duchwood's Short Story MS
(Ch.Grandgables The Gladiator MS x Duchwood's Page IV MS) Story is a lovely little girl with a pretty head, gorgeous front, good rear angles, and a nice topline although her tail set is low. Her first litter of 6 is lovely. Story has gone to Spain as a show dog. |
|
Duchwood's Little Terror MS
(Admindac It's Hardly Done x Duchwood's Little Robin MS (ch. pts.)) Tara is a tiny girl with gorgeous front and rear angles and a perfect topline. Her head is a little blocky and small for her size and her bone is a little light. Tara had a lovely litter of pups for us and then went to Spain as a show dog. |
|
Duchwood's Hurricane Audrey
MS - available as a pet
(Ch. Grandgables The Gladiator MS x Ch. Duchwood's After Dark MS) Audrey has lovely shoulder layback, is a little short in upper arm, has good ribbing and keel length; lovely rear angles and a pretty head. Her topline is level when moving but she keeps her ears pinned back although her ear set is fine, so she will probably not be shown. Audrey suffered from IVDD at age 4, and went down completely in the rear end (her sire also had IVDD). She was steroid blasted and has made a full recovery. She is spayed and needs a pet home as she has a lovely temperament. |
|
Duchwood's Little Laurel MS
(Ch. Duchwood's Buyonegetonefree MS x Duchwood Fool's Gold MS) Laurel is a small but exquisite girl with lots of front and rear angles, a perfect topline and long ribbing and keel lengths. She is also a lovely mover. Her head could be bigger for her size, but it's shape is OK. She has better bone and more substance than her mother. Her first litter of 6 out of Tango was outstanding, so Laurel is now retired to a loving pet home in Texas. |
|
Duchwood's Wild Wild Angel MS
(field pts.) - available as a pet
(Ch. Dynadaux Honky Tonk Bar N Grill MS x Duchwood's Slow Burn MS) Marti has gorgeous front and rear angles, good ribbing and keel lengths but a topline that has a slight dip when she moves. She has her mom's devilish personality and can really "cut" her eyes at you. Marti is also showing promise in the hunting field with 3 field trial placements! However, she has had only one pup in each of her 2 litters, so is obviously not a producer. Marti is experienced IVDD paralysis on 3/02/11, wassteroid blasted, and recovered. She is available as a spayed pet. Pedigree |
|
Ch. Duchwood's Fairystone MS
(finished with a 5 pt. major and Group 4!)
(Ch. Lisego Nosa Vitamin Yu x Duchwood's Stepping Stone MS) Farrah has turned out pretty nicely. She has a lovely front assembly, long ribbing and keel lengths, good topline and nice rear angles. Her head is OK but she's a really nice mover and has matured around 9 lb. She is a replacement for her mother and finished her show career with 3 BOVs, a BOS over 5 specials, and a Hound Group 4th. She produced a lovely son for us and is now in a pet home in Tennessee. |
|
Duchwood's Novella MS - Has
gone to a show home in Finland
(Ch. Grandgables The Gladiator MS x Duchwood's Page IV MS) Nova is a small girl and has a lovely upper arm but is a little forward in her shoulder assembly; good ribbing and keel length. Her rear angles are nice but her head is a little plain. Dynamite personality and a lovely mover. Her first litter out of Gable produced 3 show dogs (including 1 kaninchen who is doing well overseas), so she has value as a dam. She will be shown in Finland as a kaninchen. |
|
Duchwood's Crooked Halo MS -
available as a pet
(Ch. Lisego Nosa Vitamin Yu MS x Duchwood's Lady Ellen MS (ch. pts.)) Halo is a lovely, small girl who we hoped would be a worthy replacement for her mother. She has good shoulder layback; OK ribbing and keel lengths; a perfect topline; lovely rear angles and a pretty head. After her first litter of 2 out of Gable (9/11) was weaned, she suffered IVDD problems (ataxia and pain). She was steroid blasted and made a full recovery. |

Duchwood's Cow Patti MS
(Admindac's Almond Joy MScp (ch. pts.) x Dual Ch. Duchwood's Beach Babe MS) Patty is a dark chocolate/tan girl who is a little underangulated in the rear. She is actually nicer than her pictures and produces lovely pups. She is now retired to a pet home in Tennessee. Pedigree |

Duchwood's Little Tassel MS
- retired to a pet home in New York
(Ch. Add-Sim's Johnny Be Good of Saytar x Duchwood's Sophisticated Lady MS) Tassel is a tiny little red girl with a big personality. She could have more rear angles but is pretty nice otherwise. However, she was getting overlooked in the show ring so she was bred once, then spayed and placed in a pet home. We kept her daughter, Dot, as a replacement. |

Field Ch. Duchwood's Slow Burn
MS, NAP, NJP, NAJ - retired
(FCh. Duchwood's Celtic Courage MS x Duchwood's Page IV MS) Sloane has a good topline; nice shoulder layback; nice rear angles, good topline, nice head; bone a little light and front feet could be tighter. She has a dynamite personality - she loves people and dogs and isn't afraid of anything. She is currently competing in Open agility. She is a serious bunny hunter and finally got the first place she needed to finish her field championship. She has produced some gorgeous, gamey pups for us. |

CH. Duchwood's Certainly Cerise
MS (field points)
(Ch. Duchwood's Count Cameron MS x Duchwood's Morning Light MS (ch. pts.)) Cerise is a stunning girl with lovely movement, perfect topline, gorgeous head and lovely rear angles. Her shoulder layback is fine but her upper arm is a little short as is her keel, but she is a floaty mover. We hoped she would be a wonderful replacement for her mother, but sadly, she developed pyometra after being bred and had to be spayed to save her live. Cerise is turning out to be an enthusiastic bunny hunter, too, and now has her first field trial placement! She is a sweet, silly girl who loves to cuddle and is now a spoiled brat in a loving pet home in Mississippi. Litter Pedigree |

Duchwood's Case Closed MS -
retired
(Ch. Duchwood's Count Cameron MS x Duchwood's Morning Light MS) Casey is a heavy-boned girl with a stunning head. Her shoulder layback is lovely as are her rear angles. She had a perfect topline but could be longer in the upper arm. She lives in a show home in Florida with her co-owner, Lauren Richardson, but was never shown or bred for some reason. |
|
Duchwood's Day Lily MS - retired
(Ch. Duchwood's Lord Lennox MS x Grandgables Claire of Duchwood) Lily lives with her co-owner, Lauren Nagel-Richardson, in Florida, but was never shown or bred. Pedigree |

MS - retired
(Ch. Duchwood's Lord Lennox MS x Grandgables Claire of Duchwood) Sweetheart is a tiny girl with a lovely front and lots of rear angles. She is a show prospect who lives with her co-owner, Beth Jones, in Tennessee, but was never shown or bred. Pedigree |
|
Ch. Duchwood's Pittypat of Tara
MS - retired
(Ch. Dynadaux Honky Tonk Bar N Grill MS x Duchwood's Slow Burn MS NAP NJP NAJ) Pittypat is co-owned with Ashley and Jerry Miller in Florida. This delightful little girl started her show career with a bang, including BOVover specials out of the puppy class! She is a spectacular mover in a tiny package. Tiny Pittypat had 6 pups in her first litter (two are already champions)! Pedigree Pittypat was spayed and retired to a pet home in Florida. |
